JOB DESCRIPTION**:


This role is perfectly suited to those with excellent clerical and keyboard skills and have a good eye for detail.

Those working in this area are responsible for assisting the warehouse manager along with the sales and finance teams with several administrative and logístical tasks as well as coordinating with other internal departments and external customers.

The role is based at our Greenford facility but may involve some European travel due to the expansion of our business into The Netherlands.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily inspections of incoming materials, supplies, equipment and compare information on delivery packing slips with our purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment. Inspect shipments and record any damage or defects; notifies manager and/or sales team of the same.
  • Liaise with internal teams and customers to coordinate outbound shipments with external freight partners.
  • Liaise with external freight partners to provide shipping quotes to internal sales team as required.
  • Maintains files and records of warehouse inventory, inbound deliveries, outbound shipments, and export licenses.
  • Responsible for allocating, locating, and controlling warehouse inventory items along with the warehouse team and outside auditors.
  • Responsible for warehouse and workstation cleanliness.
  • Responsible for the safe movement of inventory as per the company guidelines.
  • Ensures adherence to departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and health & safety standards.
  • Performs miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned.
  • Is required to comply with Health and Safety standards.
  • Is required to comply with company Fire Safety standards.
  • You may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as we may reasonably require or be required to undertake other roles within your capabilities as the Company's business needs may determine from time to time.

EXPECTATION OF ROLE:

  • Coordinating the acceptance of goods into the warehouse.
  • Reconciling deliveries against the purchase order.
  • Coordinating outbound shipments and associated paperwork.
  • Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
  • Ability to complete routine paperwork.
  • Obtain and maintaining reach truck license.
  • Working in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Be able to work as a part of a team and follow the business core values and fundamentals.
  • Should be presentable, professional and communicate well with customers.
  • Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
  • Knowledge of organisational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 GCSE's or equivalent qualifications with 3 to 5 years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Experience with exporting goods out of the UK is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Reach Truck license is beneficial, but not essential for consideration.
  • Proficient with the use of computer software (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Excel, and Stock Management systems).
  • Must be reliable and ontime to office each day to handle all incoming and outgoing shipments.

Salary:
£18,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
