Digital Marketing Apprentice

Team / Manager Content & Marketing / Senior Marketing Manger


Salary Circa £15,000 per annum, TBC depending on experience

You will create engaging content that will build both brand awareness and adoption of a range of products and services, which are aimed at helping businesses go further.


This apprenticeship opportunity will give you the opportunity to learn and work alongside a vibrant and creative team of marketeers, designers, videographers and content writers, where you will gain the broad technical knowledge and skills you need to succeed through a combination of practical experience and formal training.


MAiN RESPONSiBiLiTiES
You will work within the UMi Marketing team providing support and taking ownership for elements of a range digital marketing campaigns by:

  • Working alongside the team to deliver marketing and sales strategies that build a lasting connection and engagement with our consumers
  • Creating and posting a range of creative and informative social media posts across a range of accounts and channels
  • Uploading content and amending websites with copy, imagery and information
  • Supporting efforts to improve our SEO
  • Helping the team to produce engaging short form video
  • Copy writing and proof reading
  • Reporting on and optimising online adverts including PPC
  • Supporting with data cleansing and research tasks to develop marketing and sales pipelines
  • Supporting the team to improve sales funnels to generate commercial returns on marketing activities
  • Creating engaging branded imagery and content
  • Measuring and reporting performance using analytics tools
  • Providing creative ideas to improve marketing performance
  • Helping with general marketing administrative duties
  • Collaborating with internal teams to deliver employer brand marketing activity
  • Demonstrating an understanding and compliance with policies and procedures including GDPR and Cyber Essentials Plus
  • Performing the role in accordance with UMi's policies and procedures
  • Performing any other duties that may be reasonable required from time to time

  • Advocacy of all our products and services
- spotting new opportunities to expand our customer base
- working alongside sales and marketing colleagues to implement and market new products and services
- monitoring and dealing with initial enquiries including the media inbox to identify potential partnerships or business success stories
- maintaining customer relationships management systems (CRM) with relevant data


YOUR ROLE WITHIN UMi

  • The role reports to the Senior Marketing Manager
  • The role holder has no budget responsibility

THE ESSENTIAL THINGS YOU NEED

Summary of essential knowledge, skills and experience:

  • 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) including Maths and English at grades 4+ (A*-C)
  • Good IT skills
  • An understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices
  • A passion for digital marketing demonstrated through some experience, such as web design or social media
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Confident personality
  • Good analytical skills to interpret marketing performance
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks
  • Good problemsolving
  • Desire to learn and develop

THE THINGS THAT WILL HELP BUT ARE NiCE TO HAVE

Summary of desirable knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Copywriting for case studies, blogs and social media.
  • Working across a range of brands at once and the ability to dip in and out of each during the day.
