Salary:
Circa £33,000 depending on experience

Compressed hours:

Up to 37 hours can be arranged as full days or part-days or a compressed hours arrangement with the opportunity to split time between site and remotely as long as delivery is met.


Hybrid working pattern:

Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working such as twice a week onsite.


The opportunity:

The PCB Layout team are responsible for providing a full PCB Layout Service to all internal Programs. These span all technologies from PTH boards to complex multilayer, rigid/flexi-rigid, surface mount, impedance matched, RF etc.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to develop technical skills across our broad range of products.


This role involves developing the skills and knowledge for creating/generating PCB Layouts from schematic data to meet electrical, mechanical and environmental requirements.


This will involve learning footprint creation, component placement, signal routing, understanding technical documentation and generation of the final PCB data packs, ensuring designs and hardware are in accordance with requirements and conform to MBDA design rules and processes.

Please note the Stevenage location only, as training and development will need to be undertaken within the design team


What we're looking for from you:

  • Some previous knowledge of design, PCB fabrication or assembly preferred.
  • An interest in complex physical problem solving with attention to detail and determination to complete tasks to the required standard.
  • Computer literate with good communication skills.
  • Flexible working approach accommodating changing requirements as designs progress.
  • Full training will be provided.
