This is a great opportunity for an experienced Assistant Estimator
to join a main contractor who have over 160 years history spanning three centuries.

They are a family business providing exceptionally high levels of construction expertise and customer service by employing, training and motivating capable staff.


Key responsibilities for this Assistant Estimator role:

  • Assisting the Senior Estimator with all the relevant parts of the bid
  • Compiling (Either on conquest or Excel depending on the individual tender) package comparisons for the Senior Estimator
  • Completing a form of tender including assisting in compiling a clients CSA
  • Regular site visits in order to understand aspects of project by generating a report on what was learnt to the estimating manager who in turn will review this with the team

Experience required for this Assistant Estimator role:

  • Showing an understanding of trades / attendances which need to be included within work packages, including supply chain
  • Showing a level of efficiency including technical where required when communicating in respect to both orally and written in connection to the supply chain
  • Have an appreciation and understanding of all the tender settlement forms required including how we approach inflation and fixed price lump sum
  • Have an understating of how we approach billing a project

Package offered for this Assistant Estimator role:

  • up to £35,000
  • Company car allowance
  • Bonus scheme based on company performance
