Description
Working as part of a friendly team based in Cardiff, you will provide secretarial and clerical support to all medical staff and manager's; where appropriate, liaising with medical staff/health board staff, service users, and other external contacts.

Description
The key responsibilities of the Personal Assistant include:
- Communicate effectively with all members of staff and actively participate in staff meetings.
- Communicate and liaise effectively with directorates, divisions and stakeholders as directed and required on a range of complex and sensitive topics.
- Display tact, diplomacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Provide centralised telephone coverage for the unit, answering where practicable enquiries for staff, patients and external contacts.
- Collaborate with staff in maintaining accurate databases, updating office operating procedures, inventories and documentation.
- Assists with providing comprehensive training and supervision of clerical staff and new members of administrative staff within the department in all relevant areas
- To work in a safe manner in accordance with the Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Using high level diary management skills, organise and maintain diaries; responsible for scheduling meetings and resolving potential conflicts with diary appointments and schedules.

- Responsible for reporting and keeping accurate, confidential records of patient details as required.
Profile
The successful Personal Assistant will have:
- Knowledge and experience in a range of personal assistant and office responsibilities, including; non routine diary management, conference and event administration and high level secretarial support.
- Be proactive in providing support in the event of an outbreak /emergency situation.
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong oral and written communication
