    Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
    Location: Central London
    Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 + package

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on a £50m office refurbishment and fit out project in Central London. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining an experienced and driven site based team and supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor with the commercial delivery of the project throughout the construction phase. With a contract value of £50m, the works include the demolition of the top floor, construction of two additional floors and a new roof terrace. By retaining a large portion of the existing structure, the project aims to save nearly 5,000 tonnes of CO2 and divert nearly 95% of site waste away from landfill.

    Some of the Quantity Surveyors main responsibilities will include:

    Manage all commercial aspects of the project, ensuring budgets are met and risks are mitigated.
    Oversee subcontractor procurement, tendering processes, and contract negotiations.
    Prepare accurate cost reports, valuations, and applications for payment.
    Handle variations, manage change control, and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
    Collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and design consultants to achieve project goals.
    Provide financial forecasts and ensure all works align with the client's budget and quality expectations.
    Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have:

    Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor working on refurbishment and fit-out projects, ideally within the commercial office sector
    A strong understanding of JCT Contracts
    Excellent negotiation, communication and organizational skills
    The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality results
