Description

Our brand new Solasta Riverside build to rent development in Glasgow is now recruiting for a skilled maintenance operative to join the team.

This role will support to the Facilities Manager undertaking building maintenance and repair works on a planned and reactive basis.

As our go-to person, you'll provide first line response to all building support requests and work orders raised.

You'll have a basic knowledge of health & safety, fire safety, & specific trade knowledge of plumbing, heating systems, plastering, painting, and minor electrical and general maintenance.

Note - there is no staff parking available on site, however we are very close to major transport links

What will you do?

  • General Maintenance_
  • Undertake some cleaning duties around the development such as bin rotation, waste management, low level window cleaning and external litter picking.
  • Building & Apartment Maintenance_
  • To act as a point of contact for 3rd party contractors attending site for planned preventative maintenance.
  • Managing large building M&E systems like water tank and pump rooms.
  • Be able to respond effectively to emergency call outs / situations whilst on shift.
  • Ensure stock, tools & materials are kept to an acceptable level & usable standard.
  • Undertake premove in safety checks and basic functionality tests on apartment kit as assigned by the community manager.
  • Liaise with residents if required for the booking of apartment maintenance or support on apartment kit tutorial.
  • To be aware of the Letting Agent Code of practice and Repairing standards framework
  • Health & Safety_
  • Support the Facilities Manager in ensuring all aspects of building health and safety are met at all times.
  • Undertake routine fire alarm testing
  • Support with the attendance of external auditors or assessors for Fire / Water and General Risk Assessment undertaking
  • Be able to make sure any works completed are compliant and in line with HSE.

What are we looking for?

  • Residential property maintenance management knowledge & experience
  • City & Guilds or equivalent trade qualification
    (Essential)**:
  • Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance
  • Full clean driving license
  • Good communication skills
  • Good eye for detail and high standards
  • Have basic painting skills
  • Strong understanding of COSHH
  • Working in "high foot traffic" environment
