_Are you a recent School/College Leaver, looking to kick-start a long-term career in Software Engineering?_


The role will primarily involve developing and maintaining and deploying existing in-house system that is based on Sage 200 The role will also include other internal development projects to drive efficiencies within the business.

You will possess the drive, enthusiasm, and ambition to form part of a dynamic team within a fast-moving company.

You need to be willing to embrace challenges and will have the opportunity to contribute to the future shape and direction of the team.


DevOps Engineer Apprentice Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as an escalation point for any IT infrastructure issues and resolve them where possible
  • Writing and maintaining code for in house Software Projects
  • Working on bug fixes
  • Creating technical documentation
  • Utilising and creating tools to automate daytoday operations throughout the business
  • Develop and maintain Continuous Integration / Delivery Pipelines
  • Researches and stays up to date regarding new IT Development solutions

DevOps Engineer Apprentice Applicants:


Essential:


  • Accuracy and attention to detail, owning and overseeing assigned tasks through to completion, and understanding of the importance of escalation when required
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills, with the ability to form and maintain good relationships with all teams, areas, and levels of business both internally and externally
  • Experienced in a range of business planning and operating systems, with enthusiasm to learn and develop deep systems knowledge
  • Experience in establishing good stakeholder relationships and communicating clearly with a range of people at different levels of the organisation and ability to explain and discuss technical issues
  • A positive approach to change

Desirable:


  • Level 3 Software Engineering Qualification or equivalent
  • Python or similar scripting language
  • Bash, Perl etc
  • Automation and/or continuous integration tools e.g., Ansible, Jenkins etc
  • Practical knowledge of Sage200 System
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel / SQL Database
  • Good IT hardware and software knowledge inc. PC's, Servers etc
  • ASP.Net core
  • C#
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Java Script
