What will the apprentice be doing?

Establish good relationships with students, acting as a role model & responding to individual needs
Work with teacher to establish appropriate learning environment
Support students whilst recognising individual needs
Support the movement of students with disabilities around school
Help teachers to supervise & support students ensuring, safety & access to learning
Support teachers managing student behaviour, reporting difficulties as appropriate
Undertake duties & requests in line with the post

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The qualification being undertaken will be Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship, all training will take place on site in the workplace.
