J Squared Solutions are working on behalf of our client in the recruitment of
Cleaners in Colchester, travelling between Colchester station and Ipswich station.


This is a mobile role, you will be expected to travel between two locations during your work day using company vehicle.

Full UK Driving Licence Required.

Our client is seeking hard-working, energetic individuals to engage in general cleaning duties.


Shift Allocation:

  • You will be working an allocated 5 days out of 7 a week on a base 40hour contract.
  • Workdays are split between 2 hours allocated travel and 6 hours labour making up your 8 hour day.
  • Team members need to be aware that travelling to and from your home to a station is not inclusive within your 8hour day.
  • Work allocation varies dependent on schedule and there is a requirement for you to be able to cover the entire network.

Duties:


  • Pressure washing [includes but not exclusive to station fronts, platforms, stairs, overbridges]
  • Reach and wash [all highlevel glazing above 2 metres within the allocated lease]
  • High level cleaning [sky vac dust removal from canopies, ticket offices, roof and hard to reach areas]
  • Gum Removal [removal of gum on station leased land]
  • WC washroom deep cleaning [use of steamer, high level dusting equipment, floor cleaning machines]
  • Lifts, overbridges, station ticket office floors [deep clean]
  • Carpet cleaning [use of carpet cleaning machine to ensure carpets reach the required standard]
  • Lift and shift [removal of items requested via client on a periodic basis]
  • Bike maintenance [upkeep of bike sheds across the network]
  • Keeping allocated team vehicles clean, tidy and ready for use
  • Upkeep of all allocated equipment [no misuse]

Company Vehicle:

  • The role comes with the use of a shared company vehicle
  • Pick ups and drop offs at locals stations for staff not in possession of the van
  • Fuel card provided
  • Network travel pass provided to enable travel across the network to allocated areas of work

IT:

  • Allocated team work phone used to record duties
  • Use of WorkIT to provide compliance and to show completion of jobs
  • Quality before and after photos to showcase work carried out
Training Provided

  • PASMA [on completion of temp to perm and probation period]
  • IPAF [on completion of temp to perm and probation period]
  • PTS [Personal Track Safety, provided on completion of temp to perm and probation period]
  • Roof Top Safety [on completion of temp to perm and probation period]
  • Scrubber dryer useage [provided for all various scrubber dryers allocated across the network]
  • Steamer [basic function use, and H&S]
  • Pressure washing [how to use pressure washer and allocated kit on the van]
  • Reach and wash [how to use the reach and wash system and allocated kit on the van]
  • Basic cleaning practises [from, damp dusting, wc cleaning, sink cleaning, floor mopping, glazing cleaning, bin changing, litter picking]
  • COSHH
  • Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Manual handling
  • PPE requirement and H&S
- *Full UK Driving Licence Required*You will be paid weekly during this assignment.


Salary:
£12.25 per hour
