RMS are pleased to represent a reputable Façade and Fabrication business Newton Aycliffe, they are now looking for a
Warehouse Operative to join the growing team.

You most hold a valid driving license for this role._


You will be responsible for efficiently and safely organising the control of stock, maximising vehicle utilisation of both inbound and outbound products, whilst ensuring costs are kept to a minimum and customer's delivery needs are meet.

This is a permanent opportunity, the
pay rate is £10.42 increasing to £11.35 after probation. They offer a 4 day working week, Monday to Thursday.


The role:


  • Loading and unloading wagons in a safe and timely manner.
  • Putting stock away into racks & prepare material for production when required.
  • Ensuring stock records are kept up to date
  • Making pallets up into jobs so as they are available to the punch operators
  • General housekeeping of all storage areas including the outside storage areas.
  • Perform a weekly stock check of fastmoving items and a full stock check at the end of each month.
  • Work in conjunction with the Logistics Manager in arranging transport for outgoing loads and deliveries.
  • Liaise with customers to confirm delivery times and dates.
  • Work in conjunction with the Team Leaders and Logistic Manager to ensure items are delivered to SPC & material or WIP is transported within the agreed timeframes.
  • When required to assist in production or drive the wagon to make deliveries or collections
  • To be aware of health and safety requirements and ensure that operators within your team are working in compliance with health & safety policies and procedures and that a safe working environment is maintained
  • Assisting with the development of new safe systems of work and ensuring that these are followed.
  • Ensuring the integrity of machine guarding and safety control devices. Ensuring that all control measures are being used in accordance with work instructions and manufacturer's instructions.
  • Investigating and reporting accidents and dangerous occurrences.
  • Ensuring that employees wear personnel protective equipment (PPE) where required by specific safety procedures or mandatory workplace signage.
  • Carrying out and recording risk assessments for those activities performed within your department.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment
