FRS are currently assisting a rapidly expanding business in their search for an experienced Accounts Assistant.


Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role is key in supporting projects and working closely with the Commercial and Production teams.


Job Purpose:

To be a pivotal member of the Accounts Team, completing Purchase and Sales Ledger tasks within the business to ensure account balances are up to date, enabling senior management to monitor budgets, profits and spending.

You would be expectedto support all aspects of the company finances.


Main Responsibilities:

Purchase Ledger Activities to include:

  • Checking and inputting Purchase invoices onto Xero.
  • Process and prepare monthly financial and business spreadsheets for the purpose of checking supplier account balances and facilitating purchases.
  • Collating and recording financial information purchase ledger, using Xero and Excel.
  • Setting up and building strong working relationships with suppliers.

Sales Ledger Activities to include:

  • Responsible for raising and issuing sales invoices, updating the Sales Ledger, along with assisting customer account queries.
  • Ensuring the efficient management of sales ledger reporting to include the collation of project costs as required by Project Managers and the Senior Management Team.
  • To make supplier payments using business internet banking in a controlled and compliant manner as per company protocol.

General:

  • To provide accurate adhoc reporting to the business when required.
  • Work closely with all internal departments to ensure customers' expectations are met.
  • To provide cover for team members during periods of leave when required.
