Our client, a major distributor of alcoholic beverages is seeking a
Credit Controller to join their team based in
Belfast City Centre.



Pay Rate:
£17.95 Per Hour + Holiday Pay


Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (2 days in office, 3 days from home)


Job Type:
Full Time, Temporary (potential to extend)


This role supports the Credit Team Leader, with a clear focus on reporting, key performance indicator (KPI) reviews and building credit capability within the team.

Job Duties:


  • Work within the Sell to Cash team, reporting through the Island of Ireland (IOI) Credit Manager.
  • Support all channels in ROI and NI.

  • Report and share performance of the team at monthly performance meetings.
  • Review and enforce all rules of governance surrounding the Credit Policy, Credit Insurance, Risk Criteria and Control and Risk Management (CARM) processes.
  • Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations and work with auditors to provide all samples for testing.
  • Deputise for the IOI Credit TL in their absence.
  • Support the TL to deliver team performance and maximise the cash conversion in Ireland on a weekly and monthly basis. This is a key deliverable for the country.
  • Responsible for KPI reporting, analysis and commentary.
  • Improve our Risk and Credit Process Capability through various local and global learning programmes and coaching.
  • Work closely with Credit Execs and external legal service provider to maximise debt recovery on aged debts.
  • Other key deliverables as required in the role held by the TL.

Job Criteria:


  • Leaving Certificate or 5 GCSE grade A-C including Maths and English / A post leaving qualification in a business related or Credit Discipline would be advantageous
  • This role sits within the Sell to Cash team, reporting through the Island of Ireland (IOI) Credit Manager. The role supports all channels in ROI and NI.
  • Proven ability to deliver under time pressure is particularly important.
  • At least 2 years Credit Control experience with high volume of customers
  • Proven ability to deliver consistent high quality results in a target driven environment.
  • Be assertive in all situations.
  • Computer literacy is necessary knowledge of Sap/Salesforce (or equivalent) and intermediate Excel/Word are essential
