Description
The post holder will take the lead role for the operational management of patient flow through the hospital.

You will work closely with Emergency Department colleagues, Trust Matrons and Ward staff to ensure the safe implementation of patient pathways to ensure Trust targets are met.

The post holder will be responsible for the reduction in Length of Stay objectives in order to ensure optimal patient flow though departments working alongside the Discharge Lead and Matrons.


The post holder will be experienced in operational management in a senior nursing / AHP role within a Healthcare / NHS setting and with dealing with complex situations and will have previous experience working within patient flow.

Problem solving and being able to respond and adapt to a changing high pressure environment are key to this role.


The post holder will work with internal and external stakeholders to define service need and facilitate new patient pathways as required working alongside the Head of Patient Flow and Divisional Director of Nursing.

The role requires innovative thinking to move teams and services forward to meet key objectives.
