Description

• Construct and repair walls, partitions, fireplaces, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials
• Lay out work according to blueprints, drawings, or specifications
• Measure and cut materials to the required size
• Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using a trowel
• Set bricks or stones in place and align them using levels, plumb lines, or straightedges
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or scaffolding to transport materials and tools
• Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters to complete projects

• Time served bricklayer
• Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
• Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, tools, and materials
• Ability to operate heavy equipment used in masonry work
• Skilled in carpentry tasks such as metal stud framing and trim carpentry
• Detailoriented with excellent problemsolving skills
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
• Safetyconscious mindset with knowledge of proper safety procedures

The employee may be required to perform other related duties as requested to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

• Newtownabbey: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

• Bricklaying: 3 years (required)

• CSCS (preferred)
• Driving Licence (preferred)
