The Community Support Team are recruiting a Team Leader to join our Team who provide support for vulnerable people over the age of 18 across the ERYC in their home environment.


We offer a blended work approach that combines working from the Driffield office, other satellite bases and working from home.


Days of work:

  • Monday
  • Sunday
  • Including bank holiday (shift rotation 07:00 22:00)


The role will be required to provide effective management and support to a team of Community Support Workers and Carer Relief Sitters to support the delivery of Re-ablement, hospital discharges and Carer Relief services to adults.

Supporting staff in working to individual customer care plans to achieve best possible outcome for our customer group, it will also be responsible for all aspects of Community Support Workers and Sitters staff management, including:

Recruitment and selection, induction of new employees, staff supervision, training, performance management, customers medication management, staff conduct, employee performance reviews, proactively manage staff absence and maintain training data in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures.


You will be expected to work in partnership with other agencies, including, in-house teams, to ensure a smooth delivery of services.

Accurately record customer information on ERYC information systems including an electronic rota management system to support the delivery of a high-quality cost-effective service, that is compliant with CQC Standards.


  • Have experience of working in a social care or another care related field along with staff rota management
  • Ability to manage your time effectively, be organised and meet deadlines in a pressured environment
  • A good standard of education, written and verbal communication skills and an adequate level of literacy and numeracy
  • Be competent and confident in using IT packages, software, and equipment
  • Experience of managing staff is essential i.e. recruitment, supervision, Attendance at work, etc.
  • Be able to effectively communicate and liaise with staff and other professionals at all levels
  • Be able to drive and have access to a car when at work
