Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Seafreight Import Clerk for our client based in West Midlands, who provide international freight forwarding services.

As the Seafreight Import Clerk, day-to-day duties will involve liaising with overseas agents / customers / hauliers, controlling all aspects of Seafreight imports from start to finish and everything in between.

You will be arranging deliveries / releases and quoting clients for shipments.

Duties continued:

Control all Seafreight Import activities on a start to finish basis
Ensure all Consignments are loaded onto computer system prior to arrival / departure
Keep customers fully informed of anything which may cause delay to a shipment
Develop constructive relationships with key customers and key supplier
Liaising with customers, dealing with all followups
Invoicing shipments and collecting payments

The successful Sea Freight Import Clerk will have 2 years' deep-sea import experience, as well as experience working as a Seafreight Import Operator / Import Clerk / Import Coordinator, etc.
