Marketing Manager / £35,500 - £44,500 DOE
Macildowie are working with an organisation based in Coventry who are looking to recruit a Marketing Manager. The post holder is responsible for developing and delivering the overall marketing communications strategy.


You will have oversight and management of existing marketing communications channels as well as designing and developing new ways of engaging.

You will lead the development and execution of marketing communications to ensure initiatives are communicatedat a time and point that content will resonate.


About the role:


  • Develop and implement the marketing communications strategy to support engagement initiatives and services, engaging relevant stakeholders to ensure comms are streamlined and joinedup.
  • Create and iterate personas of key audiences and develop cross channel on and offline campaigns.
  • Working with colleagues from across marketing create engaging marketing content and print and digital assets to enhance community building.
  • Gather and analyse data on campaign KPIs advising on /responding to trends and devising strategies to maximise impact.
  • Enhance the user experience on the student portal, and other systems, ensuring information is accessible at source or through master systems to deliver a seamless experience.
  • Undertake and coordinate market research and competitor analysis and make recommendations for further developments of the enrichment offer.
  • Develop and implement best practice, processes and procedures within student enrichment areas of the university, which integrate seamlessly with marketing activity to help ensure timely and efficient delivery of objectives.
  • Evaluate marketing and communications spend and activities, providing regular and robust reports that demonstrate return on investment.
  • Manage and report on a devolved budget, ensuring value for money and good return on investment.
  • Significant proven experience of working in a relevant marketing position with proven ability to develop a significant return on investment using digitallyled solutions.
  • Educated to a graduate level or have an equivalent professional qualification or can demonstrate relevant work experience.
  • Strong campaign and event management skills able to demonstrate delivery of effective and targeted campaigns in the digital arena.
  • Experience in writing and editing marketing collateral and commissioning photography/video.
  • Good understanding of web, social media and digital analytics and ability to monitor and report on campaign effectiveness.
  • Substantial experience of influencing key stakeholders and performing ambassadorial functions at senior level.
  • Outstanding communications skills with an assured, confident manner and strong written, influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to develop successful, relationships with colleagues, users, and other stakeholders based upon a commitment to collaborative working facilitating improved performance and results.
