£28,000 - £30,000 per annum

Full-time, Permanent

We're seeking a talented Transport Planner to join our client's team, responsible for coordinating and optimising transport operations.

This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in transport planning, with a focus on same day courier services or same day express logistics.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently plan and schedule transportation routes to meet customer demands.
  • Allocate jobs to both employed drivers and subcontractors, ensuring timely and costeffective delivery.
  • Maintain clear communication channels with drivers and subcontractors to monitor progress and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fastpaced environment, ensuring smooth operations at all times.
  • Utilise transport planning software and tools to optimise routes and minimise costs.

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in transport planning.
  • Familiarity with same day courier services or same day express logistics is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in transport planning software/tools is preferred.
