The Project Accountant will become a key playerthroughout a dedicated period of transformation, supporting Project Managers in their delivery of accurate project cost tracking and forecasting.

Your new role as Project Accountant/ Finance Analyst:
Your duties will include:
To produce the monthly consolidated project accounts, with supporting explanations for review by the Senior Leadership Team on a timely, accurate and cost-effective basis.
To undertake monthly project assurance reviews, change request and decision gate reviews.
To assure the utilisation of cost centre reviews and high light and budget risks.
To understand the capitalisation policy, monitor controls and undertake capital sweeps to ensure assets under the course of construction are accurately recorded.
Develop the Financial Accumen of Project Managers and train them in financial process, procedure and review
Review with Project Managers invoice coding to ensure that all project costs are accurately reflected in the monthly reporting
Identify any financial process failures, undertake root cause investigation and escalate where appropriate with recommendations to prevent future process failings.
Have an open and questioning mind rather than accepting 'as is.' Seek to identify opportunities for improvement where appropriate and make recommendations which support continuous improvement and implement agreed changes.
To carry out any other duties as requested by the FC and Head of Finance
To ensure compliance in your business area of all internal polices and applicable Accounting Standards working with the head of finance to ensure annual statutory disclosures accurately reflect the costs incurred and capitalisation of change.
To understand and be aware of the risk and control environment in your area of the business and adhere to processes and procedures in order to minimise risks.
The Experience & Qualifications Required:
ACA / ACCA/CIMA Qualified
Project /analyst experience
Strong Excel/data experience
Driven & ambitious individual who will thrive in a swiftly moving, ever-changing environment
