The Role

We are currently looking for a Buyer - Supply Chain / General Procurement, to join our team based in the south side of Glasgow.

The remit of the role will be:

To ensure the smooth running of existing & new suppliers of products and services
To assist in the development of best practice, standard company buying strategies, to ensure consistent management of quality and cost.
To monitor and ensure suppliers deliver on their commitments.

Responsibilities include:

Liaise between the supply chain and internal departments.
Evaluate supplier quotes and make recommendations.
Order and expedite supplier products and services, monitoring supplier delivery performance, resolving and, where necessary, escalating supplier issues.
Negotiate, agree & monitor contracts including quality, pricing & lead times.
Develop supplier contacts, building strong supplier relationships.
Provide Supply Chain with regular schedule forecast.
