HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT
Description

We are looking for a friendly and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team here in LISHCARE. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work directly with patients to provide care and support.

You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, monitoring patient health, and communicating with clinical staff to ensure the best possible care.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping others and wants to make a positive impact in the community.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
  • Monitor and record patient health status, reporting any changes to nursing staff
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
  • Follow established protocols for infection control and patient safety
  • Document patient interactions and progress in electronic health records is neccessary
  • Assist with clinical procedures as needed under the supervision of clinical staff
  • Maintain a clean and organized patient environment

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Healthcare Assistant training program or equivalent experience
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with others members of staff
  • Empathy and compassion for patients
  • Physical ability to practice manual and handling activities and transfer patients as needed
  • Understanding of commitment to patients' confidentiality and privacy

Job Type:
Temporary contract

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
£7.94-£13.15 per hour
