Hours: 15 Hours per week, 39 weeks


Days:
Wednesday 12.30pm - 3.30pm; Thursday & Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm


Salary:
Grade C4-6 FTE £21,189 - £21,968 (prorated salary)


Start date: 17 April 2023


The Acorn MAT (AMAT) was established in 2014 and is a group of schools in rural villages and small market towns on the borders of East Devon and West Dorset.

The Trust is made up of seven church and community primary schools, including Thorncombe St Marys CE Primary Academy.


At Thorncombe St Mary's CE Primary Academy, we view education as a joint venture, involving everyone - children, parents, staff, governors and the wider community.

We are looking for a well-organised, motivated and committed member of staff to join our friendly and hardworking team, to provide administrative support throughout the school.


Applicants should have:


  • Excellent people skills to warmly welcome our parents, teachers and visitors;
  • Excellent IT skills and to be able to adapt to different IT systems;
  • The ability to be proactive in assisting all members of staff;
  • A passion and willingness in helping the school to thrive in the community;
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • Ability to prepare formal letters, process data, update the website and social media
  • A strong awareness of the importance of safeguarding in schools.

The person appointed will be expected to be responsible for:

  • Various administration tasks and communications with parents;
  • Being a warm and welcoming point of contact for the school;
  • Liaising with and offering support to staff, parents, pupils and other professionals.
