Connect2Hampshire are recruting for a qualified Occupational Therapist on behalf of hampshire county council to work in the South Adults' Health & Care Reablement Service based at Fareham Hub to help restore meaningful and fulfilling lives for resdientsin the community.


Essential Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Occupational Therapy qualification
  • Occupational Therapy registration
  • Enhanced criminal records checkAbility to identify own development needs and those of supervisees
  • Begin to have experience of supervising staff
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to communicate in challenging situations
  • Ability to assess risks, needs, analyse information
  • Ability to recognise problems, identify solutions and negotiate
  • An understanding of the statutory duties of local government in social care
  • Knowledge of social care model
  • Good numeracy
  • Ability to record case and financial information
Working Conditions

  • Regular travel and lone working, assessing people in their homes, hospital, community
  • Frequent use of IT systems
  • There may be unknown risks associated with visits such as unpredictable or challenging behaviour, and will need to be assessed
  • Some work may be outside normal working hours
  • Possible transport of service users Manual handling of equipment and transportation of equipment
  • Some work may incur stress such as high risk case workManual handling of clients on a regular basis
