The role leads audience targeting in paid media, constantly driving efficiencies and measuring success to prove the value of our data.

The role supports multi-channel personalisation by synchronising audience targeting across our paid media, below the line and digital channels.


What you'll be doing

  • Lead audience segmentation and activation for BT Business's paid media campaigns
  • Collaborate with campaign owners to select audiences that best fit a campaign
  • Brief audiences into BT's media agency
  • Optimise audience targeting while campaigns are live
  • Engage with Below the Line and Digital teams to facilitate multichannel personalisation across digital channels
  • Measure audience performance to prove the value of our data, and of the team
  • Engage with colleagues in marketing and the wider business to increase general understanding of what we do and present them with the latest learnings
  • Seek opportunities to expand our data pool with 2nd and 3rd party data
  • Proactively suggest new audiences, data sources and segmentation ideas, adopting a test and learn approach to prove success
  • Monitor audience match rates and troubleshoot any issues
  • Keep up to date with innovations and trends in audience segmentation and MarTech
  • Ensure all work follows data protection regulations, working with BT Legal and Security teams to ensure compliance.
  • Support the Digital Marketing Data team to onboard and test new vendors
  • Support the Digital Marketing Data team to transform our consent and preference strategy and migrate our data warehouse to the GCP
  • Support on other Digital Marketing Data projects as may be required
  • Skills and Experience
  • A passion for everything digital, with an active interest and understanding of broader advertising industry trends with ability to make recommendations.
  • Highly numerate and analytical and capable of making hypotheses and drawing conclusions from data sets.
  • Attention to detail and systematic approach to data integrity.
  • Customer obsession we start and end with the customer. Everything we do is based on customer and user demand.
  • Curious and think big naturally explorative and seeks diverse perspectives.
Experience we are looking for...

  • Use of web analytics platforms (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) and/or CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Experienced working with large 1st party data sets and how to collect, transform, segment and utilise data for marketing.
  • Good understanding of data privacy and protection regulations (e.g. GDPR, PECR).
