Milk Education are currently recruiting for a full time SEND Teacher to join their team in the Sunderland area.

The school educates children with PMLD, ASD, ADHD, communication and visual impairments and social and emotional difficulties. This means that you will have to be understanding and considerate of the individual learning journey of the pupils.

We are looking for a SEND Teacher who has an excellent teaching manner, strong classroom management and the willingness to conduct the full teaching cycle at all times.

In order to be considered for the SEND Teacher role we require you meet the following criteria;

Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE, B.Ed or a BA Hons.
Have experience of working in an SEND setting or supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
Have experience of working with pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
Be a confident and proven classroom practitioner.
Successful experience of managing pupils needs.
Evidence of planning and delivering high quality learning opportunities for children in the areas of physical development, health and wellbeing.
Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
Have at least 6 months school based experience of working in a UK School setting.
