Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Animal Control Officer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safety and well-being of animals within the community.


Duties:


  • Respond to calls regarding animalrelated issues, such as stray animals, animal bites, and injured animals
  • Capture and transport stray or aggressive animals safely
  • Investigate cases of animal cruelty or neglect
  • Enforce local animal control ordinances and regulations
  • Educate the public on responsible pet ownership and wildlife management
  • Maintain accurate records of all activities and interactions

Skills:


  • Excellent communication skills to interact with the public and colleagues effectively
  • Strong analytical skills to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions
  • Proficient in phone etiquette for handling incoming calls professionally
  • Data entry skills to accurately record information and maintain databases
  • Multilingual abilities, especially in Spanish and English, are highly desirable
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus for engaging with diverse communities
  • Upselling skills for promoting licensing, vaccination, or other related services

Job Type:
Temporary contract

Contract length: 3 months


Pay:
£20.59 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week


Education:


  • A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

- customer service: 4 years (required)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
