At Mott MacDonald we are looking for nine months maternity cover beginning June 2023 for our Group Wellbeing Advisor role to drive positive engagement with our colleagues globally for wellbeing and to raise the profile of mental health and wellbeing within the workplace.


Part of our Safety and wellbeing function, you will be passionate about our long-term business aims are to provide a comprehensive wellbeing framework with access to specialist support and resources.

To reduce wellbeing and mental health risks resulting in sickness absence.

Our wellbeing lead will promote employee wellbeing and support the development of greater employee resilience and improved work-life balance.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and deliver the Group's wellbeing strategy, with particular emphasis on the promotion and engagement with clients, partners, as well as colleagues
  • Leading on the development and delivery of training and other targeted initiatives supporting mental health and wellbeing
  • Promoting and educating our business on areas of wellbeing and mental health,
  • Drive external engagement in wellbeing activities with clients and partners
  • Engagement with regions and other stakeholders
  • Training and development for the Group's wellbeing community
  • Conduct wellbeing conversations, facilitate support groups and signpost as required
Required for the position of Group Wellbeing Advisor;

  • Understanding relevant legislation including the Equality Act, Health & Safety at Work Act, Mental Health Act, and Data Protection Act (GDPR)
  • Experience of signposting individuals to the appropriate support organisations
  • Ability to present confidently to key stakeholders and articulate strategy and initiatives through writing
  • Effective communication and active listening skills
  • Experience of working in a Wellbeing or Occupational health role (preferred but training provided)
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with key stakeholders
  • Flexibility to travel across UK offices
  • Proposed working pattern 3 days per week
