We are seeking to appoint an Assessor who has the expertise and drive to match the expectations of our learners.


What will you do?


In order to be successful, you will have a track record of excellence in teaching & assessing that will allow you to deliver across a number of Engineering Standards.

You will have the industry experience that allows you to contextualise you're teachingwith specific examples, and you will be able to evidence professional development that gives you currency in the sector.


This position will allow you to pass on your knowledge to a future generation of engineers by providing guidance on the use of equipment and practical processes associated with Engineering disciplines preparing learners for End Point Assessment and progressingthem through their apprenticeship journey.


In order to be successful in this role, you will have industry experience, along with a recognised level 3 Engineering qualification and ideally a minimum of a level 2 qualification in maths and English.

You will either have or be willing to work towardsthe TAQA Assessor Qualification. Experience of supporting teaching and learning in a workshop environment or workplace would be an advantage.


The successful applicant will be expected to work flexibly to meet pressing deadlines, and be customer focused with excellent communication and organisational skills.

You will also be required to assist in a technician support role maintaining workshop areasand organising stock and equipment.


This post attracts a recruitment and retention premium with a salary up to £33,112 per annum.

This is a permanent, full-time post and the starting salary will depend upon an individual's level of experience.

Regional travel will be required as part of the role; therefore use of your own transport, a current valid driving license and business insuranceis essential.
