Description

The duties of cleaners are as follows:

Carrying out all work to the recognised satisfactory standard and at the frequencies laid down by the employing authority as instructed by the caretaker or any other authorised officer, to ensure that the building is kept clean.
Reporting to the caretaker or authorised officer anything that is likely to affect their work or anything they consider he/ she should be aware of.
Maintaining cupboards in a clean and tidy condition.
Using cleaning equipment and materials in the prescribed manner, accepting responsibility for the equipment used and ensuring the safe usage and storage of such equipment. Be aware of COSHH Regulations.
Signing in, signing out each day and completing any required paperwork.
Arranging furniture where necessary.
Removal of rubbish for disposal.
Any other work as instructed by the caretaker or the authorised officer.
To behave in an appropriate manner within the building when dealing with members of the public. Matters relating to individuals, pupil or adult, should be regarded as confidential.

Specific duties:

Be responsible for cleaning Infant classrooms, infant, early years and staff toilets, Infant corridors, offices and school hall by:

hoover all floor surfaces where there is carpet and sometimes hard floor areas

- mop toilet areas and corridors, wiping down all surfaces, tables and chairs
- clean toilet pans and seats and sinks and handles

Clean glass

- brush floor areas
- wipe down doors and walls in toilets
- brush / hoover hall
- occasionally clean stains on carpets
- work unsupervised to complete all tasks

Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 2 months

Part-time hours: 7.5 per week

Salary:
£10.42-£11.01 per hour
