Registered with Health Professions Council and comply with code of practice of IBMS and HPC.Undertake all aspects of tissue preparation work in the department, including specimen reception and cut up, meeting quality standards.

Assist in small specimen cut up by selecting tissues for further processing by following departmental procedures.
Responsible for maintaining appropriate stocks of consumables and reagents.
Contribute to the development of new methodologies, as required for improvement of the service or research within the department.

To conform to established policies and codes of practice within the department and participate in the internal quality procedures as well as taking part in EQA.
