Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Technical Specialist to join us in either London or Hove


You'll be a Senior Cloud Engineer/DevOps Engineer, and you'll be required to design, implement (upgrade) and support elements of L&G's Core; Cloud related Infrastructure.

The focus is around the delivery and assurance of Tier 0 identity services that underpin all IT systems and projects across all L&G business units.

What you'll be doing

  • Acting as An SME for all aspects of the Tier 0 Services, you'll be part of a team of SMEs responsible for the infrastructure as a whole.
  • Investigating, analysing, reviewing and documenting business functions, operating models, systems and processes, identifying and making recommendations on the requirement for improvement including quantification of potential business benefits, and the creation of viable specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for the construction of business change deliverables
  • Implementing best practice in an area of work to suit specific circumstances within the business and to improve the support service provided.
  • Contributing to capacity, availability, and updating the core infrastructure
  • Actively identifying risks, ensuring they are appropriately logged and tracked at the appropriate forums, and taking appropriate action to mitigate or resolve.
  • Continually working to build effective, positive working relationships with both our Third-Party Service providers and the wider IT communities, to enable us to deliver a fantastic customer service and be viewed as a single, valued IT partner

Qualifications:


What we're looking for

  • Azure Platform
  • AWS Platform


  • Microsoft 36

  • Exchange online
  • Exchange on prem / hybrid
  • Perimeter security
  • Active Directory
  • Azure Active Directory
  • Automation technologies (e.g. Ansible, PowerShell)
  • Delivering Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, GitHub)
  • Ability to write architecture and process documentation.
  • Ability to prioritise, organize and manage a complex and sometimes conflicting workload, and to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to anticipate business needs and to exceed expectations.
  • Indepth understanding of Agile methodologies, technical understanding of products and their lifecycles, and uptodate knowledge on industry standards and best practices.
