Spinwell is recruiting for a Craft Operative for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CRAFT OPERATIVE
To carry out all aspects of general building works to maintain the health service premises across the estate. Build, repair and maintain all aspects of the estate including building fabrics and drainage and ventilation systems. Maintain a safe environment for Service Users, staff and visitors with regards to building fabric and building services.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE CRAFT OPERATIVE

Good general education
Recognised building trade qualification or equivalent experience (diploma level or equivalent)
NVQ related to building and construction and/or building services
City & Guilds Portable Appliance Testing 237
High level of experience and knowledge in building materials/construction obtained through technical courses and previous job roles
Good understanding or building trade techniques
Working knowledge of HTM's
Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
Good organisational skills and the ability to address and develop solutions to problems
Effective communication skills for effective working relationships throughout the organisation
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of team
Basic IT Skills
