What Are We Looking For


Our E&M team in Dewsbury are looking for a Mechanical Co-Ordinator to join our business on a full time, permanent basis.

You'll be working with an established team to assist in our continued successful deliver of projects across the region for our clients.

The primary function of the role is to co-ordinate the planning, manpower, materials, on-site works and snagging of mechanical biased projects, while acting as the liaison between the site and the project teams.


Some of your key duties include:

  • Co-ordinate mechanical site works, acting as liaison between the on-site team and the project management team
  • Review drawings, works information packs and technical data for site raising any relevant queries and ensuring resulting actions are carried out prior to commencement of project where practical
  • Organise the ordering of small value materials/consumables, liaising with the buying department
  • Organise delivery of material to site as per schedule
  • Act as a liaison between engineers and workshop,
  • Managing the day to day operations of the fabrication workshop
  • Identify Manpower resource requirements and organise with the General Manager
  • Organise vehicles, plant & equipment for site as required
  • Set out expectations with onsite personnel through works information packs etc
  • Check that works are being carried out to timescale and to the required standard/quality
  • Raise mechanical issues identified through snagging or nonspec compliance
  • Ensure all issues as above are addressed and rectified before site personnel leave site at end of project
  • Review mechanical manpower resource requirements on an ongoing basis, identify where the hiring of new staff is required
  • Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder's appropriate skill set
What do you need?

  • Mechanical biased NC/HNC/MA/Degree or equivalent
  • Proven onsite experience
  • Good knowledge of welding principles and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good technical background
  • Full clean driving licence
