To be responsible and accountable for the weekly, monthly and yearly checks, ensuring that all checks are viewed and signed off by the Registered Manager.

- Walking stick ferrules check and replace if needed monthly.
- Primary Lighting and Escape Route Checks
- Monthly
- Fire Door Checks
- Weekly
- Wheelchair checks
To undertake painting and decorating required around the home internally and externally.
To action any concerns that may be noted within the Susan Day maintenance book.
To manage and ensure that the home's external gardens are well kept and maintained throughout the year.
To ensure that the grounds are kept clean and tidy and addressed daily, and the gardens are exemplary.
To assist the residents with any additional requirements they would like that personalises their rooms such as shelves and pictures being put up.
To monitor and ensure that all disposal of any waste such as cardboard, black bin waste etc in accordance to the homes policy and procedures are being actioned.
To undertake any mandatory training that has been requested by your Line Manager or the Deputy Manager.
Other Responsibilities
To support the development of the homes ethos and to encourage a home culture that embraces good staff morale and inclusion that develops good rapport and working relationships with all employees.
To be familiar with the Susan Day Health & Safety policy and to promote safe working practices. To ensure full compliance with infection control procedures following company policy.
To report and record any accident or incident which may occur - no matter how minor.
To understand, action and monitor any risk assessments within the home.
To attend quarterly meetings, with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager.
To notify the Registered Manager of any annual leave, maternity requirements, or any other leave requirements.
To report any complaints to the Deputy Manager for further investigation.
To read and conform to all policies, procedures and guidelines laid down by Susan Day in respect of carrying out all housekeeping duties and in other administrative aspects of the business, as relevant.
To be participative in the constant improvements and developments of the service by sharing ideas and inspirations.
To be available on an eight-weekly basis at an agreed time with your line manager for supervision and yearly appraisal.
To undertake any additional jobs that may be required for the safe running and needs of the service that are not detailed within this job description.
Salary:
£12.50-£14.00 per hour
