Our Client, a Major international Oil and Gas, design and construction contractor is seeking a Graduate Estimator to join their team based in Surrey.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering) is required.
SKILLS
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis, with the ability to interpret technical specifications.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to work, ensuring accuracy and precision in estimation calculations and documentation.
- Ideal work experience would be some estimating within an engineering organisation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and establish positive working relationships.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,Teams)

Withastrongbiastowardsremoteareasandchallengingdeep-waterlocations,itisaleaderinthesupplyofengineering,procurement,projectmanagementandconstructionservices,withdistinctivecapabilitiesinthedesignandexecutionoflarge-scaleoffshoreandonshoreprojects.
Our clientoperatesaprestigiousfleetofvesselsforoffshoreconstructioninshallowanddeepwater.
TheseincludeHeavyliftvessels& largetransportationbargesforinstalling/removingtopsides,jackets andlarge windfarm components,Pipelayvesselsforinstallationofrigid/flexiblepipelines,umbilical's&cables,constructionvesselsforsubseatrenching &subseastructuresinstallation.
Our Clientisactivelyexpandingourcapabilityinengineeringandconstructionintherenewablessector(offshorewindfarms).
Responsibilities:
- Estimation Support: Assist senior estimators in the preparation and submission of project cost estimates
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyse projectrelated data, MTO's, and cost data to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
- Bid Preparation: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction departments, to gather relevant inputs and ensure the completeness and accuracy of bid packages.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and opportunities associated with project estimates and contribute to the development of risk mitigation strategies.
- Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records and documentation of estimation activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
SALARY & BENEFITS
This is a Permanent Staff position and joining a major organisation would have many large company benefits.
As well the further training would be second to none in the industry Salaries offered would be dependent on qualifications obtained.
For a fresh graduate the starting salary is good with higher salaries for those with a Masters and with also further enhanced for those with a PhD.
Graduates who have had some experience either in the oil and gas industry or other industries there would be a level of increase in the basic starting salary.
