Description

Are you a dedicated and resilient individual with a passion for supporting students in their educational journey? Do you possess excellent behaviour management skills and thrive in a secondary school environment? We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable secondary school in Uxbridge.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support students in maintaining focus and engagement in the classroom.
Provide oneonone or small group support to students who require additional assistance in managing their behaviour.
Collaborate with the school's behaviour team to develop and implement individual behaviour plans, ensuring consistency across the school.
Observe and document student behaviour, progress, and any incidents, reporting them to the appropriate staff members.
Assist in delivering targeted interventions and programs designed to address specific behavioural needs.
Foster positive relationships with students, establishing trust and providing guidance when necessary.
Support the overall wellbeing of students, promoting positive mental health and emotional development.

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a secondary school environment.
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to implement effective strategies to promote positive behaviour.
A firm and fair approach to managing challenging situations, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable but not essential.
