Procurement Officer - Bristol, United Kingdom - Barclay Meade
Description
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing a number of tender processes, simultaneously. The focus of this position is around tendering and negotiation. In the role you will be tendering across traditionally indirect services.
The Procurement Officer will be afforded a high degree of flexible working with a presence on-site in Bristol required, perhaps x1 p/week.
Specific duties of the Procurement Officer include:
- Use of e-procurement tools to run tenders compliant with PCR 2015 regulations.
- Support the development of tender and category strategies
- Support/lead the development of tender documents/templates and seek to improve processes
- Creation of tender packs to take to the market
- Negotiation
- Draft/Issue of ITTs/ITNs and contracts
- Posttender contract management
- Provide commercial advise and support to stakeholders
Procurement Officer applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience in public sector or regulated procurement (utilities, non-profit etc.)
- Experience of managing and running tenders
- Knowledge and experience in the use of eprocurement and etendering tools
- Awareness of procurement regulations, governance and compliance
- Comfortable with a hybrid working model
