We are hiring for a Financial Services business who have continued to grow, both organically and via acquisitions.

It is an exciting time to join this company as you will be able to have significant impact on finance by improving finance systems and data.

You will report to the Head of Finance Change and assist with general ledger mapping from front end systems and help to migrate products to newer systems.

The role will involve multiple testing of reports, validating data and ensuring accuracy. The work will partner closely with the project team, finance, engineering and product team.

Responsibilities

Work with finance to ensure requirements are captured in sufficient detail.
Ensure robust governance of all processes and procedures impacted by the programme (i.e., correctly documented, stored, communicated, and version controlled).
Proactively communicate to analyse information needs deliver.
Functional requirements.
Business Requirements Document.
Use Cases/stories.
Interface designs.
User Acceptance Testing

Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Navigate the data warehouse to determine whether required reporting fields exist in the available tables or if the data needs to be obtained from source systems.
Understand the scope and requirements of new requests for new product launches and/or changes to the existing processes.
To investigate users queries regarding potential system / process faults or changes.
Deliver data and project changes in line with best practices and within project deadlines.
Ensuring the appropriate specification, development, testing, and acceptance processes are followed
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Assist with system migrations, and associated tasks and deliverables.
Work with the product and engineering teams to get this setup.
Be a liaison between finance, product and data.
Working with data and engineering to provide estimates for fixes/enhancements requested by the business.
Perform any other duties consistent with the skill set of the individual as required by the organisation from time to time.

You will need to be able to take ownership and work as part of the finance change team but also autonomously to interrogate the data without guidance.

Being self-sufficient and using initiative will be key to your success.

Skills & Experience

Experience of working within a Finance team ideally within a banking / financial services environment.
Confidence working with data and understand the basics of a data warehouse environment.
Understand reports and dashboards used within a finance team.
Have a solid understanding of validation techniques to validate data coming from multiple sources.
The ability to communicate complex problems and analysis simply with a variety of stakeholders (both technical and nontechnical).
Ability to learn new products, systems, and processes.
You will demonstrate you can own tasks, be selfsufficient and use initiative.
Comfortable working in a fastmoving delivery focused environment and Strong business analysis and technical skills.
