Description

About Faculty:

Faculty transforms organisational performance through safe, impactful and human-led AI.

We are Europe's leading applied AI company, and saw its potential a decade ago - long before the current hype cycle.

We founded in 2014 with our Fellowship programme, training academics to become commercial data scientists.

Today, we provide over 300 global customers with industry-leading software, and bespoke AI consultancy for retail, healthcare, energy, and governmental organisations, as well as our award winning Fellowship.

Our expertise and safety credentials are such that OpenAI asked us to be their first technical partner, helping customers deploy cutting-edge generative AI safely.

Our high-impact work has saved lives through forecasting NHS demand during covid, produced green energy by routing boats towards the wind, slashed marketing spend by predicting customer spending habits, and kept children safe online.

AI is an epoch-defining technology. We want people to join us who can help our customers reap its enormous benefits safely.

About the role:

Faculty AI is looking to appoint a new Bid Associate to join our growing bids team, operating within our Government department.

We are looking for an individual who is capable of driving and managing the end-to-end bid process, from the initial kick-off meeting right through to the presentation/interview stage, ensuring all deadlines are met.

Working closely with our Bid Manager and other relevant Development/Sales colleagues, you will play a key role in helping to improve our overall bids and tenders operation (with a focus on improving our approach to framework and knowledge management), and will have the opportunity to shape new processes and ways-of-working.

You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, compliant submissions, including written proposals and presentations - bringing together existing and new expertise across Faculty's offering.

Key duties and responsibilities of the role include:

  • Bid Management - Manage end-to-end bid process to ensure the production and delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframe:
  • Understand the tender requirements, outline timelines and responsibilities
  • Formulate a bid plan with the key internal review deadlines prior to submission.
  • Manage the flow of information and communication of clarification questions between bid team and client
  • Engage with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to obtain relevant bid content
  • Drafting and editorial role on aspects of bid responses.
  • Ensure submitted proposals meet all quality standards and deadlines
-
Framework management - Undertake regular monitoring and updating of frameworks - ensuring Faculty are positioned to receive relevant opportunities on all existing frameworks.
-
Management of the central repository of bid content including but not limited to case studies, proof-points, staff profiles/CVs, model answers, diagrams etc. Support internal efforts to continuously improve our bid process.
-
Identification of new opportunities - working within the Bid team to identify and share new tender opportunities, through proactive monitoring.

Who we're looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in bid management (public sector experience desired but not essential)
  • Some experience of identifying opportunities to spot process improvements and implementing changes
  • Strong project management skills; an ability to plan/execute in a methodical and pragmatic way
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to create visually appealing proposals and slide decks (desired, not essential)

What we can offer you:

The Faculty team is diverse and distinctive, and we all come from different personal, professional and organisational backgrounds.

We all have one thing in common:
we are driven by a deep intellectual curiosity that powers us forward each day.

This curiosity pushes us to seek truth and understanding in everything we do, to execute work in a nimble and pragmatic manner, to foster talent in one another and always to challenge assumptions.

Faculty is the professional challenge of a lifetime. You'll be surrounded by an impressive group of brilliant minds working to achieve our collective goals.

Our consultants, product developers, business development specialists, operations professionals and more all bring something unique to Faculty, and you'll learn something new from everyone you meet.
