As the team is growing, we are offering a rare exciting and rewarding role in the events industry for an Operations Assistant.
The ideal Operations Assistant will have events experience in a similar environment and be energetic, driven and a team player who is a natural problem solver.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of all events from initial enquiry through to delivery. Meeting the objectives and requirements of the client
- Accompany the sales team on sitevisits and tastings to ascertain the logistics of an event and advise sales staff and the client of the implications or alternatives that may be available to ensure a successful event
- Ensure all resources and consumables are ordered, received, available, and assigned, as appropriate for each event in a timely manner and within agreed budgets
- Responsible for achieving profit targets and delivering margin reports to MD/GM
- Recruiting, booking and managing all event staff
- Managing transport and logistics
- Nurturing venue and supplier relationships
- Seeking new venue and supplier relationship opportunity
- Recruitment, training, and management of staff including agency staff
- Attending events, being involved in the opening or closing down of the event. Meeting venue standards of cleanliness, hygiene, health and safety
- Record keeping of event costings, checking events are kept within budget. Constantly monitoring event overheads
- Souring equipment for events and liaising with suppliers
- Assisting in the recruitment, training and integration of new staff
- Working at events both front and back of house, demonstrating a strong knowledge of food & drink and hospitality
- To lead and motivate a team and delegate responsibility whilst being handson
- Responsible for all G&B kit cleaning, storing, packing and maintenance
- Overseeing the relationship and communication between the kitchen and planning front of house team
Skills/Experience Require
- Demonstrate a proven track record of planning and delivering events
- Excellent communication skills
- Good attention to detail and time management skills
- Available to work evenings, weekend & bank holidays
- UK Driving license due to travel to events
- Proficiency in MS office

From £24,000.00 per year
