Description

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative/Manufacturing Operative for our client based in Great Notley on a temporary to permanent basis.

The new position has arisen due to company expansion, with new buildings, plant and machinery having been installed at our client's site.

Own transport is essential due to company location.

Roles & Responsibilities

Using circular saws
Operating splitting machines
Using chainsaws
Forklift operation (training to be provided)
Manufacturing high quality timber products
Manual handling
General warehouse/yard labouring duties
Loading and unloading vehicles
Stacking and moving pallets

Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience in yard work, warehousing, production, or manufacturing is advantageous but not essential
Willing to learn new skills
Forklift license advantageous but not essential
Familiar with manual handling practises
Ability to work as part of a team
Flexible approach towards work
Own transport is essential due to company location

Working hours are Monday - Friday 7.00am - 3:30pm with optional overtime available on weekdays and Saturdays paid which is paid at time and a third.

In return our client is offering a starting salary of £9.50 per hour with easily achievable piece work bonus available immediately.

An additional pay available for a current valid forklift, telehandler, or chainsaw license. Bonuses are available for goodattendance and positive attitudes which can be up to £300 per quarter.
