Material controller
Due to expansion and growth permanent positions have arisen for Material Controllers within our clients Purchasing Department. Please note that the main base for this role will be in Linlithgow.


Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Placing and controlling purchase orders via MRP system
  • Liaising with import / Freight Forwarder to arrange delivery
  • Building strong working relationships with local and global suppliers
  • Maintaining adequate stock levels of production parts
  • Resolving shortage issues and updating MRP system
  • Stock control (overstock & obsolete)
  • Input in to monthly reports
  • Support and share close working relationships with Production and Quality personnel to ensure requirements are continually met

Key requirements include:


  • Experience of working within a Purchasing, Stores or office environment
  • Customer Focused
  • Good Administration skills
  • Team Player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages most notably MS Excel
  • Be HNC qualified in Business Studies/equivalent or working towards it.
  • Have experience of import.
  • Being Bilingual is advantageous

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£26,500.00-£28,000.00 per year


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Linlithgow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
