About the Job:


The Data Steward will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across an organization.

The primary responsibility of the Data Steward will be to develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures, and to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with these policies.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures that ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of organizational data.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams to identify data requirements, develop data definitions, and ensure data consistency across the organization.
  • Monitor data quality and accuracy across the organization, identifying and resolving data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for data users, promoting awareness of data governance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with data governance policies and procedures, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy policies, such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business and its operations, including its products, services, and customers.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends and emerging technologies in data governance, and recommend new approaches and tools to improve data quality and integrity.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management or a related field, with a focus on data governance and data quality.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, policies, and procedures, as well as industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with data management tools such as data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation.
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations and data protection laws such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data governance concepts to business stakeholders
