The Talent Set are working with a fantastic healthcare membership organisation supporting them in their search for a Content Officer for a 2 month contract role.


In this role, you'll work closely with the Content and Engagement Manager to create and manage content, ensuring that website content is up to date, relevant and consistent.


To succeed in this role, you'll need excellent digital copywriting and editing skills, a sharp eye for detail, an ability to hit the ground running, and well-honed organisational and time management skills.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Maintain and update website content on a daily basis, including reviewing and approving web edits made by colleagues across the organisation.
  • Edit, and publish news stories, indepth guidance and other content including information about the organisation in written, audio and video formats using Wordpress.
  • Analyse and review existing content, making suggestions for improvement and optimising content to ensure it is user friendly, accessible, and can be found through search engines.
  • Act as the first port of call for CMS and website content queries from staff and members, advising key staff members on using the CMS and escalating as necessary to the Content and Engagement Manager.
  • Support the Content and Engagement Manager to measure the effectiveness of content and content design using analytics, data and reporting tools (eg Google Analytics) feeding insights back into the content planning process and assisting with the design and development of user journeys.
  • Support the production and administration of content across channels (for example, videos for social media posts) and provide cover for colleagues in the content team, where necessary.

Person specification:


  • Digital content experience, preferably for a charity, membership body, healthcare organisation or notforprofit.
  • Demonstrable experience of using a CMS (ideally WordPress).
  • Experience proofreading and editing short and long form copy in line with a house style guide and general best practice.
  • Understanding of the latest trends and best practices in digital content development and design.
  • Knowledge of basic HTML. (desirable)
  • Knowledge of search engine optimisation (SEO), including using effective copywriting, meta data and URL slugs. (desirable)
  • Knowledge of relevant design and content software, such as Photoshop (desirable).
  • Experience using data/reporting platforms (eg Google Analytics) to inform content decisions. (desirable)

What's on offer:

This an initial 2-month contract, the role will be a day rate of £138 -£163 (Inside Ir35)

This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days a week in their central London office.
