Description

This role will oversee all major transformational projects that underpin the future growth and how we engage with our supporters globally and locally whilst bringing together the project management and business analysis of the core pillars of our revenue strategy: Brand & Marketing, Retail, Partnerships and Venue.

Who we are

We are one of the most famous clubs in world football, with a rich heritage and history of success - read more about our history, here.

Beyond that, we are passionate about our local community and, behind the scenes, we have a wide variety of opportunities and career paths for all.

We have a very defined purpose:
to act for a winning team, culture and community.

We achieve this by ensuring we are courageous in the pursuit of progress, we champion our community and each other, and that we do the right thing (even when no one is looking).

Your day-to-day

Programme Delivery

  • Inform the prioritisation of projects according to available commercial resource and strategic objectives.
  • Partner across the Club, to align on delivery and ensure business value is achieved based on the corporate and the Club's revenue strategy.
  • Develop detailed plans to deliver on the Club's Commercial revenue strategy vision, goals and objectives, engaging with partners and critically assessing requirements.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (internal and external) to shape, manage and deliver a portfolio of projects.
  • Direct and manage programme & project delivery for large scale and complex programmes on time and to budget.
  • Provide leadership and direction within the projects, resolving and or escalating potential risks or concerns as required using expertise and judgement.

Programme Assurance

  • Responsibility and management of the PMO cost centre, as well as budget tracking of key projects vs commercial Capex/Opex budgets.
  • Lead the reporting to the commercial leadership team biweekly and the crossbusiness reporting required from the overall governance policy for project management.
  • Work closely with the Club's Governance to ensure delivery of solutions that reflect and follow our governance, standards and regulation obligations.
  • Ensure that risks, issues, and dependencies are clearly identified, managed and mitigated to minimise impacts on the organisation and our supporters.
  • Ensure that ED&I lens is consistently reviewed across all projects to meet the ED&I ambitions of the Club.
  • Provide clear, accurate, timely and actionable information that allows technology and business partners to understand delivery status, progress and performance.
  • Provide clear communication of portfoliolevel and where necessary detailed reporting to the senior leadership team.
  • Manage and facilitate local communications to a clearly defined communication plan.
  • Operate in a matrix environment with a clear understanding that the service relationship is owned by the service owners and development leads.

What we are looking for

  • Significant experience in delivering commercial and business transformation, through their team, covering a broad range of PM capability not limited to technology and data.
  • The ability to navigate projects with agility and show an innovate approach to problem solving.
  • Strategic thinking that shows strong commercial awareness and insight.
  • Experience of building and managing teams that work across a wide range of activities and disciplines whilst driving a culture of high performance and team engagement that reflect the Club's culture and True Gunner values.
  • A proactive, collegiate, and positive approach, with an ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of managing complex business change programmes, particularly in highly commercial environments.
  • Inspiring, collaborative, and motivational leader with a demonstrable track record of running a PMO function of the team size planned
  • Strong technical understanding across multiple discipline, with the ability to assimilate complex technical issues and identify the right level of support for the experts.
  • Attention to detail drills down into the programme activities, identifying risks and gaps, and ensuring they are in hand
