Job Description:
Special Education Needs Transport Consultant

Responsibilities:

1. Review and update the exisiting SEN transport policy framework in line with local, state, and national regulations and guidelines.
2. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify current and future transportation needs for students with special educational needs.
3. Manage business cases for new transportation efficiency options, including cost projections, resource allocation, and expected outcomes.
4. Advise on the procurement process for transportation services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
5. Additional support to SENT Service with Appeals, Member Reports etc

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as special education, transportation management, or public policy. Advanced degrees are preferred.
Extensive experience in a seniorlevel role focused on Special Education Needs Transport, ideally within an educational or governmental setting.
Strong knowledge of SEN transport policies, regulations, and best practices, with a proven track record of successfully developing and implementing strategic transportation initiatives.
Familiarity with local, state, and national legislation related to SEN transport, including relevant disability rights laws and guidelines.
