  • The Governors of St. Joseph's R.C. Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably qualified School Support Officer.
  • The Governors require a person with a friendly, warm personality to meet and greet visitors to the school, answer the phone and liaise with staff, parents and pupils.
  • You will need to be organised, have sound IT and Office skills (especially in Excel and Word) and an understanding of financial systems and processes. You will be a member of a hardworking, caring and professional team, providing essential administrative support to parents, staff and pupils.
  • You will be required to commence from 9th January 2023, and the position is offered on a parttime, fixed term basis until 21st July 202 20 hours per week
  • Interviews will take place on Thursday 15th December 202
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work with initiative
  • Good computer and word processing skills
  • The key duties and responsibilities will include:
  • being the first point of contact for the school, welcoming visitors and parents/carers and answering telephone calls
- assisting in the maintenance of computer-based records using SIMS to ensure that this is current and up to date

  • Being responsible for recording, amending and reconciling lunches through the ParentPay system
- communicating with parents through the use of ParentMail
- having the ability to work in a busy office environment with the skills to organise, prioritise and deal with multiple tasks whilst meeting deadlines
- working in a close team to achieve the best for our children and the school community.
