I have a fantastic opportunity to join a long established local firm of chartered accountants based in Brighton & Hove.

This firm excels in providing accounting, tax and business advice both to businesses and individuals across multiple industry sectorsincluding, but not limited to:
information technology, professional services, manufacturing, design and marketing.

They are looking to recruit an Accounting Manager to work with a portfolio of clients, reporting directly into the partners, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and managing sole trader and partnership accounts.
  • Selfassessment tax returns from prime records on Iris software.
  • Preparing and managing limited company accounts
  • Corporation tax returns on Iris software from prime records.
  • Carrying out practice management activities e.g. WIP control, client billing etc.
  • Coach, train and develop junior staff.


As a business that prides themselves on building strong relationships with their clients and a key focus of this role will be liaising directly with clients as well as identifying key ways to develop and maintain those relationships.


This role offers you the chance to join a practice in a great central location, opportunity for hybrid working (1 day a week from home but ideally office based) and be able to mentor and develop junior members of the team as well as manage your own portfolioof clients.
