An
FMCG company based in the Redditch area are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their fast-paced factory team to work a fixed permanent two weeks rotational nights shift.

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the smoothrunning of the production line and facility by conducting and carrying out regular routine and reactive maintenance.

You will work closely with the production and engineering team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance the clients'manufacturing processes.

As a Maintenance Engineer your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.

  • Responding to reactive machinery breakdowns quickly and efficiently and ensure regular routine preventative maintenance is carried out.
  • Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to the Shift Supervisor and Manager and work with the operations department to minimise plant disruption.
  • Identifying root causes and suggesting possible improvements to prevent further breakdowns from occurring.
  • Participate in mechanical and electrical projects.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out within company and legislative health and safety and environmental guidelines reporting any issues.
  • Follow the communicated escalation route for unscheduled plant downtime and minimise downtime by following a good engineering practice.
An exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer with the following.

  • Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experienced working within a fastpaced manufacturing environment ideally within
    FMCG.
  • Previous exposure to mechanical processes and assemblies including electrical or welding/fabrication experience.
  • An understanding of PLC's, Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
  • Flexible to fit in with the shift pattern.
  • IEE 17th or 18th edition desirable.
